Chase the Dream! 2026 Asia Elite Basketball Camp Set to Tour Taiwan This Summer with NBA Player Trainers Leading the Way

Recently, Japanese guard Yuki Kawamura made a breakthrough into the NBA, not only shaking the international basketball scene but also proving to the world one powerful truth: Asian players absolutely have the ability and potential to compete at the highest level of basketball. Riding this wave of inspiration, the highly anticipated Asia Elite Basketball Camp, organized by Advance Basketball Academy, will return this July and August with the central theme “Chase the Dream,” touring Taipei, Hsinchu, and Kaohsiung. The camp will bring authentic, NBA-level training directly to Taiwanese players.

This year’s camp is dedicated to introducing elite American basketball training systems and player development models to Asia. Two active NBA players’ personal trainers will be invited to lead the program, providing aspiring Asian athletes with world-class professional training and a pathway toward the global stage.

July – Taipei & Hsinchu: Elite Trainer Shawn Faust Focuses on Offensive Mastery

The July sessions will kick off under the guidance of renowned trainer Shawn Faust. During his playing career, Shawn competed in the NBA G League and played professionally in European leagues such as Switzerland and France, making him one of the few trainers with extensive real-game experience.

Known for his deep basketball knowledge, Shawn specializes in refining individual offensive skills, footwork, and in-game decision-making. For this tour, he will tailor NBA-level training programs specifically for Asian athletes, maximizing their natural agility and speed. Participants will learn how to maintain elite ball control and shooting efficiency under intense defensive pressure, elevating their one-on-one scoring and ability to break down defenses.

August – Taipei & Kaohsiung: NBA Trainer Steven Garcia Elevates High-Intensity Competition

In August, the camp continues with elite performance trainer Steven Garcia. A former strength and conditioning coach for the Orlando Magic, Steven is widely recognized in the U.S. for his ability to seamlessly integrate athletic performance with skill development.

He has worked closely with top NBA players, including four-time All-Star Kemba Walker and two-time NBA champion Quinn Cook. His training program emphasizes high-intensity game situations, effective use of physicality, and mental toughness in clutch moments. Through professional-level training, athletes will adapt to the physical contact and pace of higher-level competition.

Professional Tiered Training: Personalized Development in a Fully Bilingual Environment

To ensure players of all ages and skill levels receive precise and effective instruction, the camp features two specialized programs:

Youth Camp (Ages 7–13)
Designed for young athletes in their developmental stage, this program focuses on building strong fundamentals, dynamic movement mechanics, and high-level Basketball IQ. Through structured American-style training, participants will develop a deep passion for the game while laying a solid foundation.

Elite Camp (Ages 13+ to Adult)
Tailored for players with prior experience aiming to compete at higher levels—such as playing overseas, entering collegiate leagues, or pursuing professional careers. The program introduces NBA-level intensity and advanced decision-making training, helping athletes break through their performance ceilings in a short time.

The camp will be conducted in a bilingual (English–Chinese) format, with professional interpreters on-site. Participants will immerse themselves in basketball-specific terminology and tactical communication while interacting with players from diverse backgrounds. This is more than just a training camp—it is a gateway to global basketball culture.

Break the Limits—You Could Be the Next to Chase the Dream

With the spirit of “Chase the Dream,” the Asia Elite Basketball Camp aims to inspire every player to step beyond limitations. Physical stature is never an excuse to limit ambition. Through world-class training resources and proven player development pathways provided by Shawn Faust and Steven Garcia, athletes in Taiwan can directly access cutting-edge basketball knowledge and skills—building a solid foundation for their journey toward higher levels of competition.
