Elite NBA Skills Trainer Steven Garcia Announces the Launch of a Foundation Dedicated to Global Youth Development

Renowned Puerto Rican NBA skills trainer Steven Garcia, who has long been committed to youth basketball development, officially announced today the launch of the ProBounce Foundation. This milestone marks not only an important extension of his professional career, but also a long-term global initiative dedicated to youth development and positive social impact.

Through the ProBounce Foundation, Steven integrates basketball, structured mentorship, and core Christian values to create a holistic development model for young people facing uncertainty and life challenges around the world. The foundation aims to serve as a “life guide,” helping youth discover purpose, strengthen inner resilience, and move forward with confidence toward their future.

A Mission Forged Through Life’s Trials

Steven Garcia’s success is anything but accidental. Growing up, he faced the absence of his father and the hardships of being raised by a single mother, along with personal struggles and moments of deep uncertainty. While these challenges once caused him to lose direction, they ultimately became the catalyst for profound personal transformation.

Guided by his passion for basketball and an unwavering Christian faith, Steven learned to turn adversity into motivation, gradually building a strong value system and clear life purpose. Through these experiences, he came to understand that what young people—whether elite athletes or everyday youth—need most is not just technical training, but mental resilience, sound values, and a clear sense of direction.

“I don’t just teach kids how to score,” Steven explains. “I want to teach them how to face life’s defenses and setbacks.”
Drawing from his own journey, he developed a framework that transforms the basketball court into a space for learning decision-making under pressure, emotional resilience, recovery from failure, and faith in action.

Using Sports as a Platform for Deep and Lasting Impact

More than a year ago, Steven began envisioning a platform capable of creating meaningful and lasting impact on young lives. Whether working in grassroots communities or high-level private training environments, he has consistently used basketball as a universal language—rooted in faith-based values—to develop not only skilled athletes, but disciplined, principled young leaders with clear goals and a strong sense of social responsibility.

The establishment of the ProBounce Foundation represents the realization of this vision.

Vision 2026: From Puerto Rico to the Global Stage

Looking ahead to 2026, Steven has outlined a clear roadmap for the ProBounce Foundation:

  • Elite Skills and Mental Resilience Training:
Steven will systematize and make accessible the high-level skill coaching methodologies he developed within NBA training environments. Beyond improving on-court performance, the program places strong emphasis on focus, self-discipline, and mental toughness.
  • Mentorship-Based Life Transformation Programs
:The foundation will implement structured mentorship, life education, and motivational outreach in underserved communities and rural areas. Through sharing his personal story, Steven aims to demonstrate how life’s trials can be transformed into growth, helping young people build confidence and a clear vision for their future.
  • Faith-Driven Values Development
:Rooted in Christian faith, the foundation emphasizes integrity, discipline, and courage—cultivating youth who are competitive on the court and principled off the court. Regardless of whether participants pursue professional athletic careers, the goal is to develop leaders who contribute positively to their families, communities, and society.

“We’re not just training athletes—we’re investing in the lives of the next generation,” Steven states. “Through the ProBounce Foundation, we combine the power of faith with the passion of sport, helping young people discover their value and purpose both on and off the court.”
